The John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State University would like to provide our secondary educators with information that can be utilized to excite students to explore careers that are in high demand and will provide employment throughout the world and especially in the local area.
Program Information Session
We would like to invite teachers with an interest in science, engineering and energy sustainability to a fun, educational introduction of our programs.
The 7-hour introduction will include 1-hour blocks in Energy Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Systems Engineering, Energy Business and Finance and Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. The introductions are followed by lunch and a question and answer session. In addition to providing instructional information that can be utilized in your classes, will provide you some materials to re-create lab demonstrations upon your return to your school.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 8:00-3:00 in Hosler Building on the University Park Campus of Penn State University. Lunch will be provided for all attendees. In order to have the correct number of lunches and “take home” supplies, we will need an RSVP by June 30, 2022.
Lab Resources
Downloadable resources and instructional information will be listed here to re-create lab demonstrations.
